There are already not enough hours in the day to get all the things done that you like doing, let alone finding the time to keep your house clean. We know what it’s like, cleaning keeps getting pushed to the bottom of the list time and time again. The below are handy hints to keep your cleaning time at a minimum, giving you more time for the fun stuff.

Hem your shower curtains. By cutting your shower curtain and not allowing it to drag on the bottom of the bathtub, you can say goodbye to mould and soap scum. When the shower curtain is too long and it bunches, mould easily grows.

Give your indoor plants a shower. Instead of dusting your indoor plants, put all of the plants into the shower/bath  and hose down the plants and leave to dry.

Clean excess build up from your straightener and curler by wiping over the surfaces when cool with a little nail polish remover on a cotton ball.

Microwave your sponge  for 10 seconds every couple of days, to kill any germs living on the sponge.

Keep a squeegee in the shower, and at the end of each shower, wipe down the glass to remove excess water. This will keep your glass looking much cleaner for longer and minimise soap scum.

Fill a cup with cold water and heat in the microwave for a minute. The steam will dislodge the stains in your microwave and then easily wipe off.

Let denture cleaning tablets dissolve in your toilet for half an hour and then flush, to keep your toilet germ free.

Invest in a 50 foot power chord  for your vacuum. Then you’ll only have to plug the vacuum into one power point to vacuum the whole house.
